His practice encompasses all aspects of workplace accidents, CNESST investigations and penal proceedings, as well as representation before the Administrative Labour Tribunal and the Court of Québec (Criminal and Penal Division).
He also represents employers in grievance arbitration, labour relations matters and disputes involving the application of decree-based collective agreements.
Recognized for his in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, Mr. Thibaudeau regularly advises industry stakeholders on matters involving regulatory authorities, including the Commission de la construction du Québec (CCQ) and the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ).

Éric Thibaudeau successfully represented Construction L.J.P. Inc. in proceedings initiated by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec (RBQ) seeking the revocation of the company’s contractor’s licence. The decision rendered by the Administrative Labour Tribunal (2020 QCTAT 3984) has since been cited regularly in subsequent case law concerning the RBQ’s disciplinary powers and the legal criteria applicable to contractor’s licence holders.
Mr. Thibaudeau serves as chief spokesperson for employers during the negotiation and renewal of collective agreements on behalf of the member employers of the Association des employeurs en mécanique industrielle du Québec (AEMIQ).
The AEMIQ represents 15 of the largest companies operating in Québec’s industrial machinery sector. Collectively, its members hire more than 3,000 employees each year, employ between 1,100 and 3,500 workers depending on seasonal demand, perform approximately three million labour hours annually, and generate combined annual revenues exceeding $500 million in Québec alone.
